The PROGUARD™ II is a single-use, disposable blood collection tube holder that allows the user to shield the needle with one hand after use. To activate the safety mechanism, the user manually retracts the needle hub into the holder after venipuncture. A hinged cover locks in place prior to disposal to protect the back-end of the blood collection needle.
