CerviScreen is a self sampling kit for women to detect the presence of the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). The test utilises Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), which identifies the presence of HPV through DNA.
It should be noted that the detection of HPV is not an indication of cervical cancer, rather, an indication that the virus is present. Research indicates the virus is almost always the cause of cervical cancer.
